Shipton Quilters # 5
These little grouping which was set up by Sue and Helen in the reception area of the college and is our STRIP ROBIN QUILTS Challenge.
How this worked- You started off by being given the first row instruction which was Star's. This row was worked in your own fabric. You then passed the bag on with or without fabric in.
The other thing is you wrote a little notebook with what sort of colours and fabrics you liked to use and was asked when working on another person's quilt to write down notable things that were going in the world.
In my book on Row 4 the quilter who then had my bag wrote lots of interesting facts over the month like- Feb 14th 25 years ago Torvill and Dean won Olympic Gold with their dance 'Bolero'- Feb 23rd 8 OSCARS for 'Slum Dog Millionaire'- Feb 25th David Cameron's (our present prime minister) son Ivan dies at the age of 6. March 3rd Gordon Brown ( Our previous Prime Minister) to meet Barrack Obama the new President of the U.S.A.
It was a fun project but found it a bit of a challenge as I was forced to work out of my comfort zone.

Fantastic exhibition, I've enjoyed looking at all the posts so far.
Especially love how you have grouped the types of quilts and the special CW display.
I'll pop back again
